The incident took place in New Haven County on Friday, April 28, in Naugatuck.
Victor Ventura, age 29, of Waterbury, was arrested after Naugatuck Police responded to a group home for a report of a fight in progress, said the Naugatuck Police.
When officers arrived on the scene, an investigation and witness statements determined that Ventura, a staff member, had punched an intellectually disabled adult in the face, police said.
Ventura was charged with:
- Assault of a victim/elderly or other
- Criminal mischief
- Disorderly conduct
He was released after posting a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, May 31.
